2017 Deer Hunting Information


Nonresident deer permits are available beginning April 1st. Online applications are located at www.kshuntfishcamp.com and the deadline to apply is April 28th.

Cost to apply is $442.50 for hunters age 16 and older, and $117.50 for hunters 15 and younger, plus processing fees. Permits are awarded through a random computer drawing. Hunters interested in purchasing a preference point in lieu of applying may do so for $25 plus processing fees.

The 2017 deer season is as follows: 
 September 2-10 for youth and disabled hunters
September 11-24 for muzzleloaders
September 11-December 31 for archery
October 1-9 for pre-rut whitetailed deer, anterless only
November 29-December 10 for firearms

Extended firearms seasons will be open as follows:
January 1 Units 6, 8, 9, 10, 16, 17
January 1-7 Units 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 11, 12, 13
January 1-14 Units 10A, 15, 19
