Beginning September 2, 2019 for approximately 6 weeks, road work will begin to take place at 3rd and Washington.  For the first 2 weeks construction will be isolated to the intersection while water lines are replaced beneath.  Once that is complete, the construction will continue to the north from the intersection with a complete resurfacing of North 3rd street to the railroad tracks north of Monroe.  After that is complete the resurfacing of South 3rd from the intersection to the railroad tracks will take place.

All through traffic will be detoured at Harper/400 and Harper/1000 Road.  Local traffic will be detoured as needed during the process.

We are aware that this may cause some inconveniences in traveling through town during this process, especially for local farmers during this harvest season.  There are several roads that can get you to your destination but may take you a bit longer to get there. We ask that everyone please be patient and do your best to find a route around the construction that works for you.

If you have any questions, please contact City Hall at (620) 378-2231

The City of Fredonia would like to remind citizens that the sewer lines around town are continuing to be cleaned out at this time. Residents to be aware of flyers being left on the FRONT DOORS in the neighborhoods where the company is currently working at the time.

This flyer contains all the important information on steps you should do in your home while pipes are being cleaned.

All work will take place in the streets and alleys, not on anyone's private property. But, please be aware that this excludes the easement to obtain access to the manhole.
We appreciate the patience of all residents during this process of improving and securing functional infrastructure for current use as well as for the future of Fredonia.
